James J. Morrissey Jr., 74 of Wayland died peacefully on May 20, 2013.
He was the husband of Gail Morrissey for 52 years. He also leaves his sons, Mark Morrissey and his wife Tracy of Huntington Beach, CA, Craig Morrissey of Wellesley and his three grandchildren Ellie, Jody, and Jake.
Jim was a loving Father and Grandfather who enjoyed magic, sailing, the Red Sox and Frank Sinatra. Jim will be greatly missed by family and friends. Jim was a distinguished high tech engineer and executive with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. He began his career as a rocket scientist for Honeywell and later served in a variety of sales and executive roles at Data General and Motorola.
Jim was a long-standing member of the Wayland Republican Town Committee, the Society of American Magicians and the Sudbury Bridges Together program.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main Street (Rte 27) Wayland.
Interment will be private for his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Good Shepherd Parish in Jim’s memory and would be appreciated.
