Helen M. (Brown) Dealy, a 56 year resident of Stoneham, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at her home in Stoneham following an extended illness. She was 98 years old.
Helen was born in Winthrop on June 29, 1914, a daughter of the late Charles J. Brown and Margaret (Leonard) Brown. She grew up in Winthrop where she attended Winthrop Public Schools and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1932. Helen worked as a Secretary for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Probation Department in East Boston for over 15 years. She was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church Women's Guild and Stoneham Bridge Club. Helen enjoyed the quality time that she could spend with her family.
Helen is the beloved wife of the late Paul B. Dealy. She is the devoted mother of Margaret "Peggy" Caouette and her husband Cy of Reading, Paul Dealy and his wife Donalyn of Minnesota and Anne Dealy of Stoneham. She is the loving Gram to Matthew Joyce, Jennifer Buron, Erin Swanstrom, Timothy Dealy, Matthew Dealy, Andrew Dealy, Meghan Lougee and her 7 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of the late Arthur Brown, Clara Downey and Grace Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Helen's Funeral on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose followed by her Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10 A.M. Interment at Winthrop Cemetery in Winthrop. Visiting hours will be on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
