LEICESTER___Germaine L. (Croteau) Lambert, 90, of 12 Laflash Lane, formerly of 21 Plantation St., Worcester, died Friday August 13 in UMASS – Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont St., Worcester. Her husband of 51 years, Emil L. Lambert died June 5, 1987.
She leaves a son, Robert J. Lambert and his wife Ann of Leicester; three brothers, Arthur Croteau of Auburn; Edmond Croteau of Worcester and Oscar Croteau in Florida; a sister, Rita O’Donnell of Worcester; two grandchildren, Mark Lambert and his wife Anna and Jennifer Peloquin and her husband Paul; three great-grandchildren, Garrett and Jaclynn Peloquin and Mia Lambert, and nephews and nieces. Her companion of 10 years, Joseph Harrington died in 2003. She was also predeceased by a brother, Henry Croteau and a sister, Estelle O’Brien. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Laura (Legose) Croteau and lived there most of her life.
Mrs. Lambert was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Worcester and was a member and longtime president of Union St. Jean Baptiste, Conseil Henriette, Worcester. She once worked as an aide several years for Saint Francis Home.
The funeral will be held on Monday August 16 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, with a Mass at 9:30 am. in St. Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday August 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church Building Fund, 5 Whitman Rd., Worcester, 01609 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
