SOMERSET – Mary I. Medeiros of Somerset died at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River on May 19, 2013.
She was 79.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Antone C. and Mary L. (Couto) Loura Medeiros.
Raised and educated in Fall River, she received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Charlton Memorial School of Nursing in 1969.
A registered nurse, Mary was employed by Charlton Memorial Hospital and later, Boston Medical Center for many years.
She retired several years ago.
An active member of St. John of God Church in Somerset, Mary leaves a sister, Lucille Senra of Georgia.
She was also the sister of the late Anthony Medeiros.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Taunton on Thursday, May 23rd at 8:30 a.m. to be followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, Taunton at 10 a.m.
The family will receive visitors from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. prior to the mass.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
