Worcester – Janis A. (Tauper) Pella, 71, of Worcester, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16th in her home.
Janis is survived by her three sons, Roy M. Pella and his wife, Lauri of Worcester, Kevin E. Pella and his, wife Donna of Warren, MA and Sean A Pella and his wife, Pam of Ocala, FL and her 12 grandchildren.
Janis was born in Worcester, son of the late, Paul and Helen (Glasser) Tauper. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the former Worcester State Teacher’s College, now Worcester State University.
Janis worked for the Standard Electric Company as an accountant for many years. She enjoyed many things throughout her lifetime, especially spending time with her family and following her Boston Red Sox.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 21st at 10 AM in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 AM before the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the UMass Memorial Foundation 333 South Street Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
