
Diane M. (Carey) McMullan, 65, of Worcester, died Saturday, May 18th in St. Mary Healthcare Center. She leaves a son, William J. McMullan III and his wife Monica of Sutton; her mother, Corinne R. (Pietro) Carey of Worcester; five sisters, Joanne Kelman of North Brookfield, Corinne Hoey of Shrewsbury, Eileen Steffen of West Brookfield, Kathleen O’Connor of Southington, CT, and Jennifer Perritt of Worcester; three granddaughters, Brianna, Kendall, and Paige McMullan, all of Sutton. She was predeceased by her father, John E. Carey.
Born in Worcester, she graduated from South High School, Worcester State College, and Anna Maria College, where she received her Master’s Degree. She was a counselor, retiring from Massachusetts Rehabilitation Services in 1991. Diane was a devout Catholic who enjoyed the outdoors, knitting, and crocheting. Her family would like to thank the staff’s of St. Mary Healthcare Center and Evercare Hospice for the exceptional care they provided Diane.
Calling hours are from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 21st in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. A service will follow at 5:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary Healthcare Center, 39 Queen Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
