Barbara Jo "Barb" (Goins) Stokes, 64, of Anderson died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at home following an extended illness.
She was born on May 24, 1948 in Anderson, the daughter of Royce and Melia Gertrude (Dale) Savage. She was a life long resident of Anderson, graduating in 1966 from Anderson High School. She was employed by Delco Remy for 32 years, retiring in 1999. She served on the Reunion Committee for the Anderson High School class of 1966, and she enjoyed cooking and crafts.
Survivors include her sons Wade (wife-Amanda) Stokes of Anderson and Seth (wife-Marcia) Stokes of Pattison, TX; sister Donna (husband-Tim) Schwarz of Arlington Heights, IL; and a granddaughter Abigail, and twin grandchildren, Aidan and Erin, due in June, a nephew, Kyle (wife-Francesca), a niece, Kate, and many friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother, Rose Etta Dale.
Services will be held 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 PM.
