Mrs. Evelyn I. (Arsenault) Barre formerly of 38 Grant St., died Wednesday Aug. 11 at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.She was the wife of Howard C. Barre who died in 1990. She leaves two daughters Carol B. wife of Philip J. Messina of Concord and Janice B. wife of Paul R. Rousseau of Auburn, a grandson Brian B. Rousseau of Auburn, several nieces and nephews including a niece, Blanche Delongchamp of Spencer. She is predeceased by brothers George, Theodore and Arthur Arsenault and sisters Eldia St. Germain and Rosella Girouard.Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Theodore and Celina (Martin) Arsenault. In her early years, she was a secretary and medical secretary in Spencer for several years. Mrs. Barre was a graduate of David Prouty High School, and a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and its choir, formerly conducted by her late husband Howard. A camper for 20 years, she was a former member of the No. American Family Campers Assoc. and the "Good Sams" Camping Assoc. She was past member of Howe Village Womens Club, Spencer Golden Age Club and Senior Citzen Club of Leicester. The funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 13 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will be held Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Spencer Rescue Squad, P.O.
