John L. (Jack) Cattanach of Ormond Beach, FL, and Marshfield, died at home in Marshfield, on May 15, age 86. Beloved husband of NaThelle Cattanach. Loving father of Joy Cattanach Smith and her husband Steven of Needham, Lynn Cattanach of Needham, Lee Cattanach of Boulder, CO, and the late John E. Cattanach of Center Ossippee, NH. Proud grandfather of Caleb and Nathaniel Smith, and Ethan Cattanach, all of Needham. Step-children Steven Nelson and his wife Vicky of Three Forks, MT., Jeff Nelson and his wife Anna of Marshfield and Liz Haggerty and her husband Steven of Simsbury, CT. Brother of Jane Wilder and her husband Gil of Scituate, David Cattanach and his wife Drucilla of Sacramento, CA. and the late Donald G. Cattanach and his wife Roberta of Dennis. Born and raised in Quincy, MA. Graduated from Quincy High School in 1945. Served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War before receiving a B.S. in engineering from Northeastern University (1954) and an MBA from Boston University (1962). Resided in Wellesley for many years. President/owner of Sturgeon Co., Inc., a manufacturer’s representative firm in Needham. Long-time member of Marshfield Country Club.
A Visiting hour will be held on Monday May 20, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St. Rte 139 in Marshfield.
