Obituary

Mr. Carmine Caruso, age 68 of Wakefield died Tuesday in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the beloved son of the late Angelo and Angela (Russo) Caruso.
Born in Avellino Italy, he came to the United States as young boy. His family settled in Boston's North End. He soon moved to Wakefield and remained a resident of that town for many years. Mr. Caruso is a veteran of the Vietnam Era and served in the United Stated Army.
Carmine had worked as a Postal Clerk for the United States Post Office for more than 45 years. In early years he worked at the South Postal Annex. In later years he worked in the Medford Post Office until his retirement. .
Carmine enjoyed expresso, playing cards and occasional trips to Foxwoods. He collected stamps and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. Nothing gave him more satisfaction than spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by a daughter: Cynthia McGrail and her husband Ryan of Winthrop, two sons: Anthony Caruso and his wife Tiffany of Billerica and Michael Caruso of Norwood. Loving grandfather of Joshua and Adam Caruso. He leaves a sister Maria Bozzella and her husband Sabatino of Boston, and a brother Peter Caruso of Revere. Brother of the late Luigina Bonito, Gaetana Fiorino,Guiseppina Cappuccio, Victor, Mario Giovanni and Antonio Caruso.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 through 8 p.m. at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in St. Joseph Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
