Worcester- Frank J. Bonczek Sr., 85, of Worcester, died Wednesday, August 11.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Jane V. (Lewon) Bonczek; two sons, John J. Bonczek of Northbridge and Frank J. Bonczek Jr. of West Boylston; two daughters, Jane Carol Heiser of Severna Park, MD and Christina Bonczek of Albuquerque, NM; a sister, Irene H. Morris of Millbury; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Thomas J. Bonczek of Spencer died in 2000. A brother, Sigmund S. Bonczek, and a sister, Ann T. Andersen, also predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Teofil and Catherine (Smigel) Bonczek and lived here all his life. He graduated from Commerce High School.
Mr. Bonczek was a machinist for many years at Arter Grinder Co., Economic Machine Co., and then at George Meyer Co., retiring in 1969.
He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.
The funeral will be held Saturday, August 14, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 13, in the funeral home.
