Richard A. Dionne, 85, of 20 Summer St. died peacefully at home on August 11, 2004 after a long illness He was born in Laconia on March 12, 1919 the son of Arthur and Matilda (Carrier) Dionne.
He had worked as a chef in Florida for over 30 years before returning to Laconia to be near family sixteen years ago.
Mr. Dionne was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia.
Survivors include a niece, Jane Thibault and her husband Ronald, with whom he lived with for the past two years; a sister Irene Wilson of Laconia; a brother, Norman Dionne of Gilford and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Ernest Dionne of Laconia and a sister, Grace Drew of Gilford.
Calling hours were in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. Friday from 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. Saturday at 10 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, pastor was the celebrant. Private burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
