ROBERT JOSEPH CAMPBELL, a Hull resident for the past 50 years, passed away on Thursday, May 9th, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 76. Mr. Campbell was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Colonial Hills Baptist Church of Weymouth. He was a former maintenance supervisor for the Lynnfield Dept. of Public Works and custodian for the Hingham School Dept.
He was the husband of Christine M. (Boyce) Campbell of Hull and father of; Tammy and her late husband Ralph Contrado, Bob and his late wife Dawn Campbell and Liane and her husband Richard Gonzalez. Grandfather of John, Dereck and April Contrado, Joseph Robert, Jackie and Sarah Campbell, Jessica and Richard Gonzalez, Jr. Great grandfather of Kaiden and brother of Betty Ann Kingsbury. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Campbell was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Service with military honors will be conducted on Sunday, May 19th at 2:30 PM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory would be appreciated to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370. The interment is to be private.
