Obituary

AUBURN-Ethel M. (Arsenault) Conti, 84, of 14 Masonic Circle, formerly of Shrewsbury and Worcester, died Thursday, March 7th, in the Life Care Center of Auburn after a long illness. She leaves 2 sons, James T. Conti of Charlestown, IN and David F. Rice of Wilmington, NC; 6 brothers, Edward “Eddie” Arsenault, Jr. of West Warren, Gordon and Kenneth “Kenny” Arsenault both of Spencer, Donald R. Arsenault of McLean, VA, Paul L. Arsenault of Spencer and Michael V. Arsenault of Wells, ME; 2 sisters, Betty Barre and Linda A. Rogers both of Spencer; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Her ex-husband, Thomas Conti; a daughter, Beverly L. Regnier; 3 sisters, Lillian Christofono, Dorothy “Dot” Grennon and Phyllis Bondanza all predeceased her.

She was born in Newton the daughter of Edward Arsenault, Sr. and Anna (Welch) Arsenault. She lived for several years in Shrewsbury Crossings and Colony Retirement Home. Mrs. Conti had been a self-employed antique dealer for 15 years and previously worked as a welder in the Boston Naval Yard during WWII. She was an avid oil painter.

The funeral service will be Monday, March 11th at 10:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Sunday, March 10th in the funeral home.
