Obituary

Richard T. Dugan, 83 of Fairhaven died August 10, 2004 at Our Lady's Haven after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Richard T. and Laura E. (St. Laurent) Dugan, he lived Connecticut for most of his life before moving to Fairhaven 6 years ago.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fairhaven.

He was formerly employed as regional manager of the Antonio Setaro Restaurants chain in Connecticut for many years until his retirement.

During World War II, Mr. Dugan served in the U.S. Army with the 634th Antiaircraft Battalion, participating in the battles and campaigns of Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was the recipient of the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign ribbon and the American Defense Service Medal.

Survivors include his sister, Lillian Mangham of Taunton; two sister-in-laws, June Dugan of Fairhaven and Shirley Dugan of East Freetown; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Edward Dugan, Paul Dugan, William Dugan and Thomas Dugan.

His Funeral Service will be private.
