BARBARA (SEAVER) RYDER, age 79, a Hingham resident for over 25 years, died on Friday, June 25th at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Ryder was born, raised and educated in Northfield, Vermont. She also graduated from Becker Junior College in Springfield, MA.A homemaker, Mrs. Ryder was an active member of the Hingham Congregational Church and a volunteer at the Hingham Public Library. She resided in Milford, CT and Whitman, MA before coming to Hingham.Wife of the late Vardon C. "Bill" Ryder, she leaves her son, Stuart V. Ryder and his wife Kathy Kishner; a granddaughter, Molly Ryder all of Wilmette, Illinois; and a brother, Hillard G. Seaver of Wakefield, Rhode Island.A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, August 14th at 1 PM at the Hingham Congregational Church, 378 Main St., Hingham, MA 02043.Visiting hours and flowers have been omitted by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the "Call to Care" Program, c/o the Hingham Congregational Church or to the Hingham Public Library, 66 Leavitt St., Hingham, MA 02043.The interment was private.
