Robert E. Morris died peacefully at his Medford home in the company of his loving family on Tuesday evening. He was 68.
Born in Cambridge and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Manuel and the late Phyllis (Ferrara) Morris. A man who worked hard to provide for his family throughout his life, Robert operated a canteen truck until his retirement. In west Medford he owned and operated Pepper’s Sub Shop and made and sold fruit and gift baskets for the holidays and special occasions. A member of the Knights of Columbus and the North End’s St. Anthony Society, Robert was devoted to his family and friends.
The beloved husband of Diane (Corliss) Morris, he leaves his children, Lisa Morris Caso of Milford; Chris Morris, Jennifer Logan and her husband Jr., Eric Morris and his wife Vanessa, all of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Caitlin, Brittany, Alexandra, Ashley, Hannah, Jeremy, Liliana and Nicholas "Pal". The dear brother of Vincent Morris, Sandra DeStefano, Geraldine Pompeo, Judith Sousa, Robert leaves many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Robert’s funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday May 10th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are also respectfully invited to visit at the funeral home, Thursday 4 through 9.
