
Worcester – John Paul Sokol Jr., 30, of Worcester, died on Monday, May 6th in his home.
He is survived by his parents, Brenda L. Pastor and her husband Worcester Firefighter Robert of Rutland and John P. Sokol Sr. and his fiancé Karen Lebel of Worcester; a brother Robert Pastor III of Rutland; 4 sisters, Cortney Pastor and her boyfriend Joseph Gedman III of Rutland, Samantha Duxbury of Dracut, Harleigh Duxbury of AZ and Gwyneth Sokol of Worcester; his grandparents, Theodore Krals of FL, Janice Sokol of Worcester, Daniel McCarthy of Millbury and Rosemary Pastor of Worcester; a nephew, Jayce Gedman and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
John Paul graduated from North High School where he was active in the Jr. ROTC Program. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working with computers and following the Boston Bruins. He will be missed by all of his friends and family as well as his beloved dog “Safire”.
A celebration of John Paul’s life will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 10 AM in Liberty Church 495 Hartford Turnpike Shrewsbury, MA. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are on Friday, May 10th from 3:30 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester.
