Obituary

Janice E. (Wright) Cochran, 76, died Tuesday morning, May 7, 2013 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of James E. Cochran, Sr., with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in Marblehead on June 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Anna (Condon) Wright. She was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1954.
Janice was a dedicated homemaker who was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
A longtime Danvers resident and communicant of Saint Richard Church, she also resided in Peabody for many years. Janice enjoyed spending time with her friends in “the Club.”
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Teresa A. & Matthew Desmond of Danvers, James E. & Cynthia Cochran Jr. of Danvers, Michael R. Cochran & Patricia Burke of Ipswich, Richard P. & Katie Cochran of Groveland, and Kathleen J. Cochran of Georgetown, her grandchildren, Beth, Matt, & Joe Desmond, Shannon Cochran, Kalyn, Derek, & Nicholas Cochran, and Colleen Wentworth, her siblings, John Wright of Beverly, Scott Wright of Merrimac, Marlene Lear of Danvers, and Cheryl DiChirico of Berwick, ME, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her godchild, Ellie Maloney. She was predeceased by her brother, Albert Sellenger, and her step-mother, Marion Wright.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
