Margaret B. (Daly) Mahoney, 95, of Duxbury formerly of Plymouth and Ayer, passed away at Bay Path at Duxbury on May 7. Wife of the late Paul Mahoney, she leaves her daughters Mary Mahoney-Norris of Plymouth, Anne Gottier of Ludlow, VT, Kathleen Stinson of Belchertown, and Paula Phillips of E. Winthrop, ME. She also leaves 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Anne Brown.
Margaret was born in Pawtucket, RI the daughter of Carroll and Lillian (Daly) Daly. She lived in Ayer MA and worked at the 1st District Court of Middlesex for over 20 years. Margaret has lived in the Plymouth and Duxbury area for the last 30 years, where she was a member of St. Bonaventure Parish and belonged to the Bonnie Seniors, the Cedarville Arts and Crafts Club, and AARP. She loved to cook and she was a volunteer at the Jordan Hospital for over 20 years .
Visiting Hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road (Rte 3A) Plymouth, (Manomet) on Thursday May 9, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Parish on Friday May 10 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne, MA. In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Jordan Hospital, 275 Sandwich St., Plymouth, MA 02360 or the Fund for the Needy, C/O of St. Bonaventure Parish P.O.
