Jeannette (Houle) Boucher, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 2, 2013. She was born to Roland and Blanche (Derosier) Houle in Chicopee on July 10, 1930. In addition to being a Eucharistic minister and active member of Sacred Heart Church in Agawam, she was also involved with the Eucharistic ministry for the Dominican Monastery of the Mother of God. Her life was blessed with close ties to family and friends and the ability to travel and pursue her creativity. Her passions included various arts and crafts including: quilting, sewing, oil painting and photography. She refined her artistic talents as a member of the Quilters Guild in Granville, the Agawam Senior Center and the Home Information Center in Holyoke. Jeannette also maintained a connection to her cultural heritage and extended family as a member of Le Cercle des Dames Francaise. She leaves her loving husband of 63 years, Adrien Boucher of Agawam; 2 daughters, Denise Janci and her husband Eddie Coffey of Wilbraham, Diane Boucher and her husband Howard Stanton of Springfield and 2 sons, Alan Boucher of Hollywood, FL and Mark Boucher and his wife Carla of Westfield; 2 sisters, Yvette Pepin of Suffield, CT and Suzanne Clapp of Chicopee; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts and husband Tom Bebbington of Durham NH, Jeffrey Roberts and wife Kasey of Surprise AZ, Jill Roberts and husband Adi Tedla of Springfield, Mike Janci of Surprise AZ, Meg Janci and husband Matthew Bachtold of Upton, Christopher Boucher and Cody Boucher. She also leaves 5 great grandchildren, Jordan, Caleb, Miles, Eva and Lily’nn. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 4-7 pm at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A funeral service will commence at the funeral home on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 9 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Rose de Lima Church at 10 am with burial to follow at St Rose de Lima Cemetery.
