A.E. “Dude” Clark, Sr., 91, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, August 9, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Rev. Bob Chaudoin and Rev. Randy Daniell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Clark was born November 17, 1912 in Bacon County, Georgia, to the late Jehu Hamilton and Dellnora Rewis Clark. He moved to Fitzgerald in 1942 as an agent for K & L Trucking Company from Waycross, Georgia and he retired as Service Department Manager at Stone Oil Company in Fitzgerald. Mr. Clark was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He was a former Mason and an avid fisherman.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife: Willie Mae Clark, Fitzgerald; one daughter: Gail Clark, Fitzgerald; three sons: Gene (Thelma) Clark, Fitzgerald, Robert Clark, Waycross and James Clark, Miami, FL; step-daughter: Bonnie Rutherford, Fitzgerald; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; two sisters: Jacquelyn Davis, Loganville, GA and Gwendolyn Broach, Tucker, GA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Lee Clark
