WORCESTER--Edith E. (Blanchard) Dionne, 88, of 600 Mill Street died Monday, August 9th, in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband Eugene L. Dionne died in 1955. She leaves a son, Eugene L. Dionne, Sr. of Oxford, 3 daughters, Barbara Salvatore of Worcester, Shirley B. Richard of Summerfield, FL and Brenda Daniels of Oxford, a brother, Lawrence Banfill, a sister, Olive Colby both of Worcester, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. A brother Raymond Banfill predeceased her.She was born in Milford, NH the daughter of Forrest and Annabel (Mendly) Blanchard. Mrs. Dionne had been a stitcher for Lowell Linen retiring many years ago. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, and served as president for the Mill Pond Club.The funeral is Wednesday, August 11th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois Street. Burial is Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 10th from 7:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
