Hugh A. “Teach” Shryock,88,passed away April 29,2013 into the arms of his Heavenly Father with his loved ones by his side.
He was a retired Schoolteacher, teaching in both Kentucky and Indiana, he was a Navy Veteran of W.W. II, and attended Beechland Baptist Church.
Hugh was a graduate of Western Kentucky University and the first president of IUE Local 761, he was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Eleanor (Mullikin) Shryock, children Kenny Shryock, Pat Elder (Nancy) and Shirley Taylor; brother Herman Shryock Jr. and sister Dot Searcy; six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday at 11 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West).
Visitation will be Thursday 2 P.M. until 8 P.M
