Sharan A. Gignilliat, 49, died Saturday, August 7, 2004, at home in the presence of her family after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
She leaves her father, Robert E. Gignilliat, Sr., her brother, Robert E. Gignilliat, Jr., and her sister-in-law, Ann Gignilliat with whom she lived, her mother, Barbara A. Gignilliat of Ware, and her sister, Diane Francis, of Worcester. She also leaves her three children, Christine A. Montalvo and Melinda Clark both of Worcester and Jeffrey J. DeCell of Uxbridge, 10 grandchildren, 7 nieces, 5 nephews, 3 grandnieces and 3 grandnephews. Sharan leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins; Uncle Donald and Aunt Rita Smith were with her when she passed.
Sharan worked at Imperial Distributors in Auburn for the last several years. Before that she took care of her grandsons for many years. Sharan loved spending time with her family, shopping and fashion. Sharan was diversified with religion and cultures. She had many friends at work and at the Peter Lavine Cancer Center whom sho adored. Sharan was a wonderful person who had a strong desire for life.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 10, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in St Peter’s Church, 929 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held Monday, August 9, from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Cancer and Hematology Clinic located in the Peter Lavine Cancer Center, 33 Kendall St. Worcester, MA 01605.
