Jacinta Dominguez 87 of Leeds, ME and a former resident of Salem, MA, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the home of her daughter and son-in law in Leeds, Maine following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Antonio Dominguez.
Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Eladio and Monseratte (Torres) Trinidad. Mrs. Dominguez and her family moved to Salem in 1969, one of the first Puerto Rican families to settle in Salem. She was a wonderful homemaker who was devoted to her husband and family. Jacinta was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem.
She is survived by 4 sons, Jose Dominguez of Puerto Rico, Angel Dominguez of Ormond Beach, FL, Geraldo & Raynaldo Dominguez both of Salem, 4 daughters, Maria A. Saravia of Leeds, ME, Anna Negron of Salem, Miriam Dominguez of Lynn and Maria S. Dominguez of Miami, FL, 2 brothers, William & Otileo Trinidad both of Puerto Rico, 2 sisters, Esperanza Trinidad of Puerto Rico and Teresa Trinidad of Lynn. She also leaves 30 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Juan Dominguez and daughter Carmen Dominguez.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Saturday, May 4, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Thursday and Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.
