
New Bedford – Agnes C. (King) Peitavino, 92, of Dartmouth died Saturday, August 7, 2004 at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, after a long illness. She was the widow of Americo “Pete” Peitavino.
Mrs. Peitavino was born in Dartmouth, daughter of the late George E. and Diana (Roy) King, and was a life long resident of the town. She was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Her talent as a floral designer and love of crafts prompted her to own and operate The Surprise Craftique’s in North Dartmouth for many years.
She was a nature and animal lover and supported many causes for animal rights. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, bird watching and country music, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by a son: Raymond L. Peitavino of New Bedford; a daughter: Eleanor A. Perry of Dartmouth; a brother: Donald H. King of Dartmouth; 4 grandchildren: Debra Perry of New Bedford, Cristine Peitavino of New Bedford, Cheryl Peitavino of New Bedford and Shannon Joyal of Fall River; 2 great grandchildren: Alicia Mattos of Dartmouth and Tiffany Mattos of Dartmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Tuesday 4 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
