WORCESTER - Mrs. Rose(Lucivero) Belsito, 84, passed away Friday April 26th at St Vincent’s Medical Center.
Rose is survived by two daughters, Kathy Belsito and her fiancé Bart Lasky of Worcester, Karen Cangello and her husband Peter of Worcester, a son, John Belsito and his wife Marybeth of New York City, six grandchildren, George Belsito and his wife Meg, Nicholas and Gianna Cangello, Matthew , Katherine and Elizabeth Belsito, two great grandchildren, Molly and Thomas Belsito, a brother in law, Albert Belsito and his wife Theresa, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Louis Belsito, her brothers, Vilando, Cypriano and Bruno Lucivero and her sisters, Louise Mangini, Clara Cerqua and Lecretia Flaminio.
Rose was born on September 5th 1928 in Worcester, Ma., a daughter of Giacomo and Carmella (Confolone) Lucivero. She was a loving wife of 63 years to her husband Louis Belsito, who passed away on February 28th 2013.
An old school mom who cherished her family above all else, Rose enjoyed cooking wonderful Italian family meals and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a health and nutrition enthusiast, participating in a wide range of activities including aerobics and yoga long before they became mainstream.
A person of great faith, Rose was a parishioner for many years at St. Margaret Mary’s and later at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, May 1st at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester, Ma. There will be a Funeral Mass at 11 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church of Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 9 am to 10:30 am.
