Siegfried A. “Bud” Budrick, of Dennis, died peacefully in the company of his loving family at his daughter’s home on Wednesday. He was 95.
Bud was born in Providence and raised there and in Lowell, the son of the late Alphons and Ida (Kaczinowski) Budrick. During World War II Bud served in the Army with the 4th Infantry Division in Europe and was awarded the Bronze Star. After the war he worked for General Electric as a precision machinist. He later moved to Sarasota Florida where he worked for the American Beryllium Co. and served as Union President there. After retiring to Cape Cod in 1972, Bud became active in his new community. He was a member of the Men’s Club at Our Lady of the Cape Parish, served on the Dennis Beach Committee, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served 20 years with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Bud enjoyed fishing, boating and bowling. Devoted to his family and friends, Bud was especially proud to have been a member of the 4th Infantry Division and served as Association President and Treasurer of the New England Chapter.
The beloved husband of Gloria (Troisi) Budrick, bud was a devoted father to Susan Costa of North Reading and her late husband Ralph Costa, Jr., Richard Budrick and his wife Martha of Salem, NH. He was a loving grandfather to Nicole Costa of North Reading, Susan Brunette and her husband Eric of Methuen, Ellen Mireles and her husband Rudy of Hudson, NH. He leaves his loving great-grandchildren : Hailey and Rachel Brunette, Sam and Noah Gagne and Georgia and Rudy Mireles Jr. He was a dear brother of Albert Budrick of FL, the late Alfreda Kozun and also leaves many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday April 30th at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Theresa of Lisieux Church, 63 Winter St, North Reading, at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 2 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 – 8 PM.
