Obituary

Marguerite M. (Bouchard) Morin, 81 of Salem, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the NSMC / Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Morin.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Eva (Bouchard) Bouchard. For most of her life, Marguerite worked in bookkeeping. She first worked for Sylvania in the billing department. Married to Richard in 1953 the couple moved to Texas for a brief period of time and later returned to Salem. Over the years she has worked for many varied companies, including, LaPointe Fuel Co., AC Lawrence Leather, Loring Motors, Davy Chevrolet, Ira Olds and Barnegat Transportation at Pickering Warf Marina. She retired from Mentuck & Associates.

Marguerite was a member of the Salem Council on Aging and the AARP. She did volunteer work at the Council on Aging and the Pilgrim Rehab in Peabody. She loved painting with acrylics, reading, music and singing.

She is survived by 2 sons, Robert A. Morin of Plaistow, NH, Richard P. Morin and his wife Maryellen of Sanford, ME, 2 daughters, Denise A. Gilbert and Lisa E. Filadoro both of Lynn, a sister Claire E. Gagnon and her husband James of Peabody. 5 grandchildren, Paul Brienza, Scott & Ryan Gilbert, Daniel Morin and Amanda Filadoro, 4 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Emma, Nevaeh and Aidan. She was predeceased by her brother Norman Bouchard.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem to be followed by her funeral mass in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem at 11:30 A.M.
