Rose M. Pelosi, 101, formerly of Stone Dam Road, Glocester, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Overlook Nursing Home in Burrillville. She was the widow of Joseph Pelosi.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose (Layden) Collins. She had worked in the kitchen at the University of Rhode Island before retiring.
She is survived by her daughter Rita Thomas and her husband, Edward, of Glocester, her grandchildren: Edward, Patricia, Sara and Shawn, her 13 great grandchildren: Deanna, Gregg, Rachel, Shana, Brett, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Ian, Grace, Page, Darryl, Christopher and Richard; her three great great grandchildren, Chole, Adrionna and Holly and her two brothers, James and Edward Collins. She was the grandmother of the late Brian Thomas and sister of the late Francis and Joseph Collins, Mary Rogers and Helen Nally.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Eugene Church, 1247 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-7pm.
