Edmund Verdi Parkinson died August 5, 2004 at the Philip Hulitar Center in Pawtucket, RI. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Ponte) Parkinson. He was the father of Claudia and her husband John of Dartmouth, Lisa and Lori Carvalho both of Georgia, Steven Carvalho of New Bedford, He was the beloved grandfather of Meagan Augustine, Ronald Rose, and Brianna Kirkland. He was the brother of Richard Parkinson of Dartmouth, He was the uncle of Richard and Steven Parkinson. He was the nephew of Shirley Parkinson of Newport, RI. He was the father of the late Ronald Parkinson.
Mr. Parkinson was the son of the late Verdi and Bertha (Scammons) Parkinson. He was born in New Bedford and lived in Dartmouth most of his life. .
Mr. Parkinson was a machine operator at Revere Copper and Brass until his retirement. He was a member of the Portuguese American Social Club, in Dartmouth. He was a loving and caring man who loved to cook.
Relatives & Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at The International Church of the Nazarene Sunday August 8, 2004 at 11 A.M. In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated. Interment of ashes will be private..
