FALL RIVER… Steven A. Moniz, 43, of Fall River passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2013.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of Elaine (Dias) Moniz and Ronald Moniz, both of Fall River and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Moniz enjoyed reading, walking his dog and was a big New York Yankees , Oakland Raiders and New York Knicks fan. He had recently started attending St. Anne’s Church, Fall River.
He was the beloved father of Alex Moniz of Tiverton, RI and the late Sweet Baby Angel.
Along with his parents and son, Steve is survived by,a fiancée: Pamela A. Downey of Fall River and her children: Jared P. Downey and Kendra L. Downey, 3 sisters: Lynn Woods and her husband Silas of Florida, Michelle Moniz-Ferry and her husband Justin of Florida, and Karen Steele of Fall River, a brother: Gary Moniz of Fall River, 4 nieces, 6 nephews, 2 great nieces, 2 great nephews, and close friends: Peter Pacheco, John O'Brien, Joe Dewsnap and Stacy Heffner. He was the brother of the late Keith A. Moniz and George Moniz and step son of the late John Steele.
