Obituary

Carolyn Hollis Spampinato, 76, of Tifton died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church. Rev. N. C. Spradley, Rev. Andy Ring and Rev. Tony Walker will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Kevin Stephens, Kyle Stephens, Jimbo Scruggs, Michael Spampinato, Brandon Bennett and Hunter Cook will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be meeting at the Spampinato residence at 2217 Ridge Avenue North in Tifton.

Mrs. Spampinato was born on September 4, 1936 in Brookfield and was the daughter of George Washington Hollis and Azarene Elizabeth Evans Hollis, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia McBrayer. She was a homemaker; loved playing bingo with her friends; loved being outdoors, gardening, fishing and playing with her grandkids.

Mrs. Spampinato is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Spampinato of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Brenda Spampinato and Paul and Kim Spampinato, all of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Billy Cox of Tifton; four grandchildren, Michael Spampinato, Leanna Keller, Paige Bennett and Lisa Spampinato; four great-grandchildren, Kylie Spampinato, Alex Keller, Carrie Keller and Addison Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.
