Michel Callahan, a 27 year resident of Malden and formerly of Somerville, entered into eternal life on Monday, April 22, 2013 at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. She was 44 years old.
Michel was born in Boston on July 22, 1968, a daughter of Margaret E. (McLennon) Callahan and James W. Callahan. She grew up in Somerville where she attended Somerville Public Schools and graduated from Somerville High School in 1986. Michel worked as a home health aide for over 12 years in the surrounding communities. She was passionate about the Boston Bruins and most of all she cherished the quality time spent with her family.
Michel is the beloved daughter of Margaret E. (McLennon) Callahan and the late James W. Callahan. She is the beloved wife of 15 years to Santos Leon. She is the loving mother of Aaron James and Audrina May. She is the devoted sister of Paul, Christine and April Marie. She is the loving aunt of Kristopher Nicholas and P.J. She is the best friend of Debbie Conzo and Godmother of Lexi. She is also loved by many other family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Michel's Funeral Mass on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield. Interment is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
