Obituary

James J. Crowley, Jr., at age 80, of Wellesley and Boynton Beach, FL died Friday, April 19, 2013 in Brooksville, FL.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary A. (Kearney) Crowley with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Somerville he was the son of the late James J. and Mary ( Hutchinson) Crowley.

Mr. Crowley owned and operated Crowley Electric Company of Wellesley with his brother from 1963 to 1983. He then developed, managed, and sold commercial and residential real estate.

He was a past President of the Massachusetts Electrical Contractors Association and the Cedar Point Home Owners Association in Boynton Beach, FL.

Mr. Crowley enjoyed a passion for cars, playing tennis, and dancing with his loving wife Mary, who he met a Church dance over 60 years ago.

He was devoted to his family and cherished in his retirement years spending time with them, especially with his grandchildren.

Mr. Crowley was a Veteran of the United States Marines serving in the Korean War.

He is survived by four sons James J. Crowley III and his fiancé Melody of Natick, Kevin Crowley and his wife Wendy of Kennebunk, ME, Brian Crowley and his wife Akiko of Natick, Barry Crowley and his wife Deanna of Springhill, FL, nine grandchildren Brendan, Ryan, Ian, Taylor, Cameron, Brianna, Derek, Doug, Casey , great-grandson Liam, his sisters and brother, Irene Crowley of Somerville, Mae Kakis and her husband John of Woburn, Rita Carney and her husband Don of Cambridge, John Crowley and his wife Justine of Wellesley, brother in laws Kevin Looney of Arlington and Eric Peters of Wellesley, and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Betty Looney and Tootsie Peters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral on Friday, April 26th at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Paul’s Church, Wellesley at 10:00 A.M.

Visiting hours are Thursday, April 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Burial will be private.
