Mrs. Joan Haywood Seals, 69, beloved wife of the late William “Eddie” Marion Seals, Jr., entered into rest on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at University Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Westover Memorial Park with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating.
Mrs. Seals was a member of St. John United Methodist Church where she participated in the Rainbow Girls and taught violin and piano at the girls club. She also played the violin, piano, and harp at St. John. She worked for J.B. White’s for over 30 years. Mrs. Seals will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother, and also as a lady who had a great impact on everyone she met.
Mrs. Seals is survived by her son, Anthony “Tony” Seals (Summer); her daughter, Robyn S. Burns (Edward); her grandchildren, Aleta M. Rogers, Austin D. Seals, Christopher S. Seals, Dakota T. Coleman, Logan D. Coleman, and Nicholas C. Seals, and by her beloved four-legged companion, Sassie.
Pallbearers will be Austin Seals, Christopher Seals, Dakota Coleman, Logan Coleman, Nicholas Seals, and Scott Holsonbake.
If so desired memorials in Mrs. Seals name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
