Obituary

Phyllis M. (Turner) Crawshaw, 87, of Medway passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at her home. She was the beloved wife of David Crawshaw who died in 1998.

Born in Boston on August 9, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Hazel (Bleiler) Turner.

Phyllis was a resident of Medway since 1952 and was a graduate of Natick High School.

Before her retirement, she worked as a baker at the Burke Elementary School in Medway for 25 years. She had also been a school crossing guard in Medway and worked for C.E. King Insurance Co. in Medway.

Phyllis was a member of the Red Hatter’s Club and during WWII, worked as a welder in the Providence Ship Yard.

Phyllis had a kind nature and a beautiful smile and will be dearly missed by her family which she loved very much.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Crawshaw of Santa Fe, NM and Lynn Crawshaw of Medway, her son David Crawshaw of Medway, her granddaughter Tiffany Crawshaw and her husband Dennis Wong of Laguna Beach, CA and two great-grandchildren, Ruby and Mathias.

She was the sister of the late Ernest Turner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, April 26 at 10 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home 3 Barber Street in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

Burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday at 1:15 p.m.
