LEICESTER: John Paul Madore 64, of Parker St., in the Rochdale section of Leicester, passed away, Saturday, April 20 with his family at his side, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Suzanne M. (Daige) Madore, three daughters Jill M. Madore of Oxford, Amy E. Dee and her husband Matthew of Leicester and Leah A. Fenner and her husband Derek of Rochdale, five brothers; Thomas F. Madore of Worcester, Dennis J. Madore of Leicester, Joseph B. Madore of Plaistow, NH., Mark M. Madore of Warren and Mathew S. Madore of Shrewsbury, three sisters Norma E. Madore of Millbury, Ellen P. Madore of Rochdale, and Maryellen E. Dahrooge of Hadley, his in laws; James and Marie Daige of Cherry Valley, seven grandchildren; Brian and Cara Delaney, Livvy Jewett, Michael and Matthew Fenner, Julia and John Dee, many nieces, nephews, close friends and family. He is predeceased by a brother Norman J. Madore in 1996.
Born in Worcester he was the son of Norman and Norma (Plume) Madore and lived here his entire life. He attended Leicester High School and worked as a construction and iron worker for the Local 57 Union in Worcester. John was always ready to help a friend with whatever work needed to be done.
He was a member of the Leicester Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing both locally and at Lake George, NY. He was a New England Patriots Fan and could always be counted on to host or join in the Sunday football parties. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races.
John enjoyed working in his yard and took great pride in his beautiful home that he built with the help of his friends. John’s greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren who just adored their “Papa”

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 23 from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 759 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Monday, April 22 from 4 to 7p.m. in the funeral home. Please omit flowers.
