Mr. Dale Richard Bernard, 50, a life-long resident of Andover and beloved son of Richard J. and Carole A. (Piquette) Bernard, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, April 15, 2013.
Dale was born in Lawrence, Mass., on February 28, 1963. He was a graduate of Essex Agricultural Institute and was currently enrolled at Capella University. Mr. Bernard was a travel agent for many years and was employed by Grand Circle Travel in Boston. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed traveling and cooking. He was also a life-long member of the Free Christian Church of Andover. Above all, Dale enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his niece and nephews.
Besides his parents, Richard and Carole, Dale will be missed by his loving sisters, Darlene A. Moore and her partner, Carlos Toledo, both of Lawrence, and Dawn C. and her husband, Greg A. Pooler, of Buxton, Maine; nephews, Paul C. and his wife, Kerri Moore, of North Andover, Sean D. Moore and his wife, Stephanie Colon, of Lawrence, and Benjamin R. Pooler of Buxton, Maine; and niece, Amanda D. Moore of Lawrence. Dale also had two great-neices, Carol-Ann Carpenter of Lawrence and Amelia Moore of North Andover, and a great-nephew, Noah Moore of Lawrence.
Dal's funeral service was celebrated in the Free Christian Church, 31 Elm Street, Andover, Monday April 22, at 11 a.m. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Sunday, April 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dale's memory may be made to the Free Christian Church, 31 Elm Street, Andover, MA 01810.
