Obituary

Mary Anna (Wojnar) Barry, age 90, passed away on April 17th, 2013 surrounded by her family in her home. She was born in Lawrence, MA in 1923 and was the daughter of the late Kataraczyna and Frank Wojnar. She was educated at Holy Trinity Grammar School and graduated Lawrence High School in 1941. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lawrence, MA.

She loved fashion and would go to Boston and shop at Filenes Basement. She worked at the Lawrence Court House in the 50's. She married and raised her family before going back to work at Sears and Roebuck Service Contracts Center in North Andover, MA., for 20 years before retiring in 1990. In her retirement years she loved nothing more than being a beloved "Babcia" to her grandchildren and never missed any of their school or sports events if she could make them. She also loved her polish Pope. Recently she celebrated her 90th birthday that she had been talking about for the last year and could not believe she made it to 90.

She will be missed very much by her family and celebrated as a great Mom and "Babcia".

She is survived by her Daughter Sabrina and her husband Terry Sanz of Andover, Son Barnaby and his wife Jeddah of Los Angeles, California and son Jeffrey of Marina Del Rey, California. Her much loved granddaughters Larissa and Alexandra Sanz of Andover and Hellenah and Nathalie of Los Angeles, grandson Brandon of Idaho. She also is survived by her brother Henry Wojnar of Sandwich, MA and Ann Folzenlogen of Dallas, Texas and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sisters Bernice Mosscrop, Frances James, Helen Wojnar and Brother Stanley Wojnar.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday, April 24th, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover, MA.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 25th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Augustine's Church in Andover, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
