Joseph Theoderic Pruett, 77, of Chase City, Virginia, passed away on April 18, 2013. He was born on September 13, 1935 in Mecklenburg County to the late Jack Pruett, Sr. and Gladys Dayberry Pruett. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Anne Poole Pruett; two sons, Wayne Pruett and his wife, Cara of Chase City, VA, and Warren Pruett and his wife, Melanie of Chesterfield, VA; one daughter, Rhonda Hostetter and her husband, Joe, Jr. of Chase City, VA; grandchildren, Brad Pruett, Jason Pruett, Jordan Pruett, Joshua Pruett, Morgan Pruett, and Kelsey Pruett; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Alan Joseph Pruett and a brother, Jack Pruett Jr. Mr. Pruett enjoyed coaching, fishing, and hunting. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery with Reverend David Moorefield.
