Sharon Slaughter, 51, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died April 17, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Pastor Rex Johnson and Pastor Wade Melton officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Slaughter was born March 29, 1962, in Hillsborough County, Florida to the late Franklin and Marjorie Johnson Gray. She lived in the community most of her life. She was an attendant for Enmark, a former CNA, a former assistant manager for Capri Twin and former employee of Captain D’s and KFC. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Christian Fellowship, Inc.
She is survived by two sons: Timothy Wayne (Shawnna) Slaughter of Douglas and Chris (Beverly) Slaughter of Fitzgerald; daughter: Ashley Nicole Slaughter of Fitzgerald; nine grandchildren; brothers: James (Alicia) Gray of Fitzgerald, Gerald (Larie) Gray of Fitzgerald, Randall Gray of Fitzgerald and Raymond Hair of Cody, Wyoming; a sister: Beverly (Bruce) Dennis of Fitzgerald and a sister-in-law: Deana Gray of Lancaster, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Jimmy Gray and a granddaughter: Brittney Allison Slaughter.
