Westport – Edmund L. “Eddy” Lowden, 81, of Westport, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Thais E. (Wood) Lowden.
Mr. Lowden was born in New Bedford, son of the late Walter E. Lowden, Sr. and the late Virginia (Lemos) Lowden, and had resided in Westport for the past 60 years. Prior to his retirement he was a salesman for various local businesses. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Including his wife he is survived by a son: Donald E. Lowden and his wife Dora of Dartmouth; 2 daughters: Debra E. Furze-Muratore and her husband Joseph of Easton and Cindy Lee Kolesinskas and her husband Mark of Providence, RI; a sister: Mildred Minnick of Salem, OR; 3 grandchildren: Cheryl A. Redanz, Jason S. Furze and his wife Marlys and Maranda L. Kolesinskas; a brother-in-law: David E. Wood; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend: Eleanor Gay.
He was the brother of the late Walter E. Lowden, Jr. and Gertrude Morse.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be private.
