Obituary

Florence L ‘Blanche’ (Lemelin) McCulley, 96 of Salem, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at her home in Salem following a brief illness, She was the wife of the late J. Henry McCulley and was also the wife of the late Henry Dupuis.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Archille and Florence (Levesque) Lemelin. Widowed after 35 years of marriage to Henry Dupuis in 1964 she was married to Henry McCulley for nearly 35years at the time of his death. Blanche was a loving, understanding, caring and generous person to all she came in contact with. Particularly devoted to her family and large extended family, she raised her 3 grandchildren Denise, Judy and Leo when their mother passed away. She was a faithful member of Ste. Anne Parish and its many fund raising events and was a former member of the Ste. Anne League of Catholic women. Next to her family, Blanche loved Bingo.

She is survived by her son, Henry ‘Bob’ Dupuis and his wife June of Salem and Florida, two daughters, June T. Robinson and her husband John of Salem, Louise F. Dupuis of Salem, three step-children, Ronald J. McCulley of Colorado, Gloria L. McCulley of Hawaii, Leona C. Morin of Wenham. She is also survived by two sisters, Jeannette Johnson and her husband Stanley of Danvers and Theresa Faulling of Salem, as well as 8 grandchildren, Judy, Denise, Leo, Bobby, Michael, Marie, Johnny and Joey, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and her devoted friend Claire Michaud, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Hector, Robert, Desire, Victor and Helen.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 8:00 AM to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
