When Marconi’s closed in 2000, she had been with the restaurant for 38 years. Lillian’s life centered greatly on her family and she was a steadfast and caring friend.

Predeceased by Robert in August 1999, she is survived by their seven children, Robert E. Costello, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Natick, Donna G. Gladney of Medway, John J. Costello of Natick, Edward A. She was also the sister of the late Peter, Anthony, and Patsy Patuto.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton, and she will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillian’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or the charity of one’s choice.
