Obituary

Jeffrey Michaud, 40, of Ruffstone Road, Greenville, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 surrounded by those who loved him, including his wife, best friend, and soul mate, Melanie Carrier.

He leaves behind his two adored Yorkshire Terriers, Lucy and Ringo. He was the son of Thomas Harrahy of Richmond, VA and the late Doris (Michaud) Harrahy. He is also survived by his siblings Maureen Harrahy of Santa Cruz, CA, Thomas Harrahy of Maidens, VA, his wife, Danica, and their children: Raegan and Camden.

Jeff, called Jed by those close to him, grew up in Auburn, MA, where he made and retained many lasting friendships. He graduated from Clark University with a BA in philosophy and psychology in 1996. In 1998, he moved to Rhode Island, a state he grew to love. For many years, he worked as a mortgage broker, eventually establishing a business of his own. Most recently, however, he became a Commercial Account Executive for Tyco Integrated Security in Warwick.

Jeff was a Mason of the 32nd degree and a girl’s soccer coach. His passions included music, reading, history, philosophy, psychology, synchronicity, and sports, especially soccer and the Red Sox. He was an extremely passionate soul with a discerning eye regarding the nature of the universe. He was always and ever will be looking for the next great adventure.

Jeff was well loved by many. With vitality, enthusiasm, and a big heart, he made a deep impact on all who knew him. With great humor and jest, he lived his life to the fullest attempting to instill and inspire a zest for living in all whom he encountered. We will miss him dearly.

To acknowledge and honor Jeff’s great love of music and empathy for children, donations in his memory may be made to Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, 4370 Tujunga Ave., Suite 330, Studio City, CA 91604 or www.mhopus.org

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, April 21st. If interested in attending, please contact Melanie Carrier at [email protected]
