James Lester Sutton, 75, of Tifton died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Rehabilitation Services of South Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Danny Ray and Rev. Ken Williams will officiate with burial to follow in Sutton Cemetery. Tim Jerry, Raymond Edwards, Shane Collier and Joe Dixon will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Sutton was born on May 23, 1937 in Tift County and was the son of Lester Sutton and Mary Frances Paulk Sutton, both deceased. He worked at Arnett’s Milling Company for 22 years until his retirement. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife, Zelma Diane Collier Sutton of Tifton, who he married on August 6, 1965; one son, Jamie Adam Sutton of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Janice Sutton of Tifton; and two grandchildren, Josh Sutton and Maggie Sutton, both of Tifton.
