Lillian M. (Rago) Perry, 98, of Marlboro, formerly of Hyannis and Hudson, died on Saturday, April 13th at her residence. She was the beloved wife of 65 years to the late Walter F. Perry who died in 2002.
Lillian was born and raised in Hudson, daughter the late Abel and Rose (Rainha) Rago. She attended local schools and was a 1934 graduate of Hudson High School. She resided in Hudson most of her life until moving to Hyannis in 1981 and has resided in Marlboro since 2002 after the passing of her husband. She was a clerk with the Raytheon Co. in Sudbury for 20 years until her retirement in 1976. She was a former member of Christ the King Parish in Hudson; the Holy Ghost Society; Hudson Portuguese Club and also was an avid Red Sox fan. She enjoyed Knitting, crocheting and listening to music in her spare time.
She is survived by daughter, Norma Giannattasio and her husband William of Marlboro; her son, Richard Perry and his wife Deborah of Andover; her brother in-law, Roy Perry of Florida and sister in-law, Faith Rago of Hudson. She is also survived by her 6 loving grandchildren, Kristen Giannattasio of Framingham, William Giannattasio of Lancaster, Jennifer DaSilva of Stoughton, Andrea Keil of Kingston, Alysa Perry of Allston, Danielle Perry of Cambridge; her 5 great grandchildren and her nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Emma, George, Fred and Jim Rago.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 16th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Monday, April 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
