Ricky J. Bowmer, 53, of Anderson died on April 10, 2013 at Methodist Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was born on June 30, 1959 in Gainesboro, TN to Bob and Jean (Petty) Bowmer.
He was in the US Army.
He was a car salesman for 28 years.
He was a scout leader for the cub scouts. He worked as a car salesman at Kenny Bowmer Auto Sales and Red Hot Motors. He loved NASCAR, colts, collected baseball cards, working on cars and the Army.
Survivors include his Fiancée, Jennifer Kocher of Anderson; mother, Jean Bowmer of Anderson; 3 step-children, Sidney Kocher & Jacob Kocher of Anderson, and Brenda (Hector) Peralta- Pacahuca, Mexico; 2 brothers, Kenny (fiancee', Sharon Riddle) Bowmer of Anderson and Bobbie Bowmer Jr. of Livingston, TN; 3 grandchildren, Larry Wilson Jr., Alejandra McGuire, and Juan Peralta; Uncle, Doug (Wilma) Bowmer of Anderson and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins from Alabama, Florida, Tennessee,Kansas, and Indiana; Nieces and Nephews, Kenny (Sarah) Bowmer II and children, Alan and Christine; Brenda Thomas and children, Matthew and Haley; Daniel Bowmer and children, Kara, Nicholas, and Nathaniel; and Staci Riddle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Bowmer, Niece, Glena Thomas; Uncle, Billy Petty.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 1:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. The burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Honor Guard.
The visitation will be from 11:30am-1:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
